happyBy now, many of you have heard of my plans for April. My Morning Jacket announced a tour this Spring. It starts during my April break. I've arranged airfare, concert tickets, hotel, and rental car.
5 days, 4 nights, 3 shows!!!
Perhaps this will sum up my excitement...
accident prone...when I slipped on the ice and landed on the back of my head. For a minute, I thought I was seriously hurt. Then I saw all of the blood.
My friend brought me to the hospital and stayed with me the entire 6 hours. A true friend indeed (though he does need to sand his driveway).
Eight stitches and a prescription for Percocet. I'm all set.
Ow.
incredulousI don't get it. Then again, you sometimes get what you deserve.
So, apparently some people actually read my neglected blog. I guess I'm not offering much for you lately.
So, how about that election in Massachusetts! Leave it to the Democratic Party to lose Ted Kennedy's seat. Not that I'm a pessimist. I still hold out hope that turnout and common sense will prevail. Polls close in two hours, so cross your fingers, fellow progressive liberals.
I hope those visiting my website, johnnYYac's Omnichord Ramblings, are enjoying the recordings ( http://johnnYYac.tripod.com ). I'm pretty happy with "Wonderful" and "Bermuda Hitchhiker", though I need to put up a better effort for "One Big Holiday".
I do believe my efforts at increasing Omnichord awareness are having an impact, based on the prices for units on eBay lately. I got my 1984 OM-84 for $150 (including shipping). Similar units are going for over $300 on a regular basis. I'm beginning to regard my little hobby as also a good investment. I'm not sure the wife would agree, however.

not sureSurvived another Christmas. The girls got mp3 players (Sandisk, not iPod) loaded with my music- My Morning Jacket, White Stripes, Grateful Dead, Monsters of Folk, and some Radio Disney and Sesame Street. Must continue their musical indoctrination.
Can't believe I hurt my back again! It was just getting better when I hurt it grocery shopping! Jesus! (Happy Birthday, by the way)

Nearly two months smoke free!
